This is the plain-English version. We don't sell anything to anyone, we don't run ads, and we don't track you across the internet. Mindio is meant to be a quiet daily room you visit — not a feed that visits you.
What we collect
To make Mindio work, we store the following things tied to your account:
Your email address, so you can sign in and recover your account.
Your progress: which lessons you've completed, your streak, which figures you've collected, your XP per module, your daily review state.
Your written reflections: the short interpretive answers you write inside lessons. These are stored so you can revisit them and so we can return a thoughtful follow-up question.
Your display name, if you choose to set one.
What we don't collect
HealthKit data stays on your device. Mindio reads activity figures (steps, active minutes, workouts) only to surface them to you; the values are not uploaded to our servers.
No analytics or tracking SDKs. We don't run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or any third-party event tracker.
No ads. We never sell or share your data with advertisers.
No location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera — Mindio doesn't ask for these permissions.
Who we share data with
Two service providers process data on our behalf:
Supabase hosts our database and authentication. Your account record and progress data live there. Supabase processes data on our behalf under their own privacy and security commitments.
Anthropic generates the short Socratic follow-up to your written reflections. When you submit a reflection, the text you wrote is sent to Anthropic's API along with the lesson context. Anthropic does not train on this data. Your reflection text is sent over HTTPS, processed to generate a response, and returned to your device. We do not include your email or account identifier in these calls.
We don't share your data with anyone else.
How long we keep your data
For as long as your account exists. When you delete your account (Settings → Account → Delete account), every row associated with your user ID is removed from our database, including reflections, progress, collected figures, and the account record itself. The deletion is hard — there is no undo, and we don't keep a copy for backup beyond standard short-term database backups.
Your rights
Access: Email us and we'll send you everything we have tied to your account.
Correction: You can edit your display name and reflections in the app.
Deletion: Delete your account in Settings or email us and we'll do it for you.
Portability: Email us and we'll export your reflections + progress as JSON.
Children
Mindio is not designed for or directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, please email us and we will delete the account.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and update the "last updated" date at the top. Substantive changes will be communicated in-app.
